If you have been searching for a vein clinic near you in the Chicago area, it helps to know where we are and how we work before you make the trip. Charming Skin & Vein Clinics treats leg vein problems at three Chicagoland locations, and our focus is the medical care of symptomatic veins — the heaviness, aching, swelling, and visible bulging that vein disease can cause. This page explains where to find us, what each visit involves, and how to take the first step.
Three Chicagoland locations
We see patients at three offices so that quality vein care stays close to home, whether you live in the city or the western or southwest suburbs:
- Chicago — 5907 W. 63rd St.
- Oak Brook — 2425 W. 22nd St. #205
- Orland Park — 10 Orland Square Dr.
All three offices offer the same vein services, so you can choose whichever location is most convenient. You can review coverage details for nearby communities on our service areas page.
Care led by experience
Our vein care is led by Dr. Abboud, who brings more than 20 years of experience to patients across Chicagoland. Dr. Abboud is a graduate of the University of Damascus and completed residency training at Cook County Hospital and John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital in Chicago. That long experience guides how we evaluate each leg and how we explain your options in plain language. You can learn more on our about Dr. Abboud page.
What we treat and how a visit works
Most visits begin with a conversation about your symptoms and a painless ultrasound vein diagnosis, which lets us see how the veins are working beneath the surface. From there, we discuss which approach fits your situation. The vein services we offer at each location include:
- Varicose vein treatment for bulging, ropey veins that cause aching or swelling
- Spider vein treatment for the finer surface veins
- Endovenous laser (EVLA), Varithena foam treatment, and VenaSeal closure for underlying vein reflux
- Compression therapy to help manage symptoms
These procedures are minimally invasive and generally allow you to return to your usual day with little downtime. We will walk you through what to expect before anything is scheduled.
Insurance and getting started
Most PPO plans and Medicare cover treatment for symptomatic veins. Vein work done purely for cosmetic reasons is self-pay, and we are glad to explain which category your situation falls into so there are no surprises.
